Geofence flags: what they mean

1 min read · Last updated August 5, 2026

By the end of this page, you’ll know why you never see a “geofence violation” to review after the fact — and that’s by design.

There’s nothing to review, because it’s blocked at the door

Some job-tracking tools let a cleaner clock in from anywhere and flag it as suspicious afterward, for you to sort out later. CrewProof doesn’t work that way. The geofence check happens the moment your cleaner tries to start the job — if they’re outside the circle, the job simply doesn’t start. There’s no violation sitting in your Jobs list waiting for a decision, because it never got the chance to happen.

Your cleaner sees this on their phone instead:

“You are too far from the job site. Please move closer.”

Note

If a cleaner tells you they were genuinely on site but got blocked, the most likely cause is a site with a radius set too tight for the building, or a site with no map location saved at all. See Sites and the geofence and My cleaner can’t log in.
